Neighborhood markets:
Fresh produce, greengrocers, fish and meat markets, boulangeries, wine stores on rue Lepic. The rue Lepic is a straight walk-up to the "Sacré Coeur" on top of Montmartre. One recommended path is through the rue Ravignan.

Neighborhood supermarkets:
G20 on rue Lepic
ATAC on Boulevard des Batignolles, off Place Clichy.
MONOPRIX de la Place Blanche, the food section in the basement.
FRANPRIX: on rue Ballu

Department Stores:
Just North of l'Opéra, the #68, 81, 95 buses go to the Grands Boulevards where you will find Les Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps and the shops on and around Place Vendôme, Boulevard des Italiens et des Capucines. and the bus goes by the Palais-Royal, the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay via the Opéra House (Palais Garnier) and the Bon Marché store (7th district).
The #74 bus goes to the Samaritaine and Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville (BHV)department stores along the quays. The BHV is across from Paris City Hall. There is a public skating ring in front of the Hotel de Ville in the winter time.
The #30 bus goes to the Arc de Triomphe through the Trocadéro
The #95 goes to the Tour Montparnasse, via the Bon Marché. So does the #68 bus.
